This is a 1952 RCA U-70 TV set top UHF channel selector. Saw it at a recent radio sale, loved the shape & lines and bought it. TV production then could not keep up with the new fangled TV airways. This separate set top unit would be able to bring in UHF channels 14-84, WOW. It was showing it had a hard life with decades of dirt covering the mahogany veneer but had potential. The overall look is a interesting with a large arched glass dial. Really love the look. The case was in bad condition requiring some TLC. Removed all of the non working guts. Repaired the damage to the mahogany veneer. Sanded the case adding some toner to even out the look. The case was finished with several coats of clear gloss lacquer. Cleaned the original glass dial back painting it burgundy. Please look , cool. I like the contrast of the dial with the wood. Drilled 3\" holes on each side to hold the stereo speakers. Big improvement. On the inside, I installed a new Bluetooth digital stereo hi-fi audio amplifier with 50 watts in addition to the 3\" Pro multi range speakers. Yes this classic is now a real stereo boom box. This thing sounds great. Installed the on/off/volume switch with the original knob on the left. The other is fixed. DO NOT TURN. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life. This is one of a kind Bluetooth speaker that is deco cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. The back panel new. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1952 RCA UHF selector converted to Bluetooth stereo measures a small 11\" x 10\" x 8\" .Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere. Let know if you have any questions. Please look at my other offerings. FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48 states. Thanks. ED
