When the Pontiacengineers design the 2ndgeneration Trans Am, their intent wasfor the scoops to be functional. Unfortunately 1973 marked the first year thesolenoid was removed and the flap was screwed on. We providescomplete shaker kits that willconvert your nonfunctional scoop to afunctioning scoop as they were meant to do.

Since the mid 70’s,PontiacPlus has been restoring GTOs and Trans Ams . As early as 1977,we’ve been offering well-engineered functioning conversion kits for both thenew style vent less scoops and the early ‘73 – ‘76 style scoops. Thisscoop uses a single industrial grade continual solenoid. The precision manufacturedflaps have been tested for reliability and durability. With many years ofR & D and product design that’s gone into these, they have worked flawlesssince introduction. Included with this kit is a flap, solenoid with mounting bracket, an activation switch,wiring harness and a detailed instructions.
