I thought I pulled this off of an M42 equipped E30, but the part number comes back to a 96-99 M44 engine. So please use the p/n to verify what you need. It may fit your M42 E30 or E36 but I can’t confirm since the p/n comes back to an M44 equipped E36/Z3.
