The first blank page has a list of pages to consult that includes the identification of the book owner, Private Benjamin F. Bremen, Company D, severely wounded in the Battle of Atlanta, on July 22, 1864.
Includes the calling card of Frederick B. Nixon, a Methodist Episcopal pastor, Alta, Iowa.The 15th Iowa Infantry was organized at Keokuk, Iowa, andmustered in for three years of Federal service on February 22, 1862. The regiment was mustered out on July 24, 1865.
