We are excited to provide a 4\" AIR INTAKE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. After months of research and development, we finally have a quality part, that isexclusively manufactured for us,to replace thediscontinued Air Intake Flex Hose most recently made by Dorman/Motormite part # 96070- we should know as we sold the old onesfor years!
The newly offered air intake hose is superior to other aftermarket applications. Notice that there are several other vendors selling a new air intake hose ranging from $40- $100 on and popular forums. These hoses are inferior in quality andsome vendors are purchasing large lengths of ductwork then cutting them with a home device, likely a band saw before sending to you!
Our new product is MADE IN THE USA and is specifically manufactured for our Pontiac Enthusiast customers. Our MFG is using a hot razor knife process to cut the ends and then snip back the spiral helix wire during themanufacturing process. WE ARE THE ONLY ONES OFFERING THIS TECHNIQUE IN THE MFG PROCESS. The result is an excellent clean fit. Our new product is an industrial tested thermoplastic and it uses a strong spiral helix wire that is positioned inside the layers of thermo. Product can easilyhandleunder hood temps. The wire is dually designed to act as a retainer clamp around the shaker base snout and plastic OEM air intake pieces. This removes the need for the cheap plastic retainer fasteners/clips of the old air intakes- however that does take away some of the look of the OEM piece

NOTE- We added additional vehicles that are compatible for this part based on the original parts application from GM and Dorman #96070 thru catalog research. This part was intended to fit the second gen Pontiac Trans Am. If you are purchasing for other compatible vehicles we have identified, please review pics and confirm your application before purchasing. Part has only been test fitted to the Trans Am. Our part measures approx. 15\" in length. The original Dorman and GM part would expand to 18.5\"- but that was not needed for the Firebird Trans Am application. Some applications like the mid 70s Grand Prix\'s did need more like 17\" of the OEM length. IF YOUR DESIRED APPLICATION LENGTH IS GREATER THAN 15\" DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
