Offered is a Good Used Old School Cadillac 4 Barrel Cast Iron Intake Manifold, Casting #1497829, installed on 1971 Cadillac Deville with 500 C.I. Engine. As you can see from the picture, the last \"9\" in the part number is absent on this one, a factory defect.
As you can see from the pictures, this manifold has been repaired, cleaned and repainted. Any \"brown you see in the pictures is not rust, it is residue from the organic solvent I use to soak these parts in.
The end of the runner for the #5 cylinder was chipped off. I took the manifold to John at JL Steel, with 50 years as a certified welder repaired the area. I took pictures before painting to show the repair. I have sold many cast iron parts repaired by John on and have never had a complaint or a \"comeback\".
There are no stripped threads. Aside from the repair, this is a nice crisp original casting.
