used original 283 Engine block from a 1961 Chevy 283. Part #3756519. Dated 5-18-1 (May 18th 1961). Engine Code F0519D (Flint, May 19, D Engine Code). This can be used in a Corvette because it\'s a Flint Block, but it is from a 283/170 HP with powerglide. This has been pressure tested and is good. The bores are 3.870\" and will need honing. The block was tanked & cleaned, but it has been sitting around so some rust has developed.
